Blackstone Closes $14 Billion Inaugural Fundraising Phase for Blackstone Infrastructure Partners Fund

Simpson Thacher represented Blackstone in connection with the formation and final close of the inaugural fundraising phase of Blackstone Infrastructure Partners (“BIP”). BIP’s fundraising phase closed at $14 billion, with a diverse investor base that includes public and private pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, foundations and family offices.

BIP is a permanent capital vehicle focused on investing across all infrastructure sectors, including transportation, energy (utilities, midstream and renewables), communications and water and waste.
