Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP today announced that Amy Candido has joined the Firm’s Palo Alto office, where she will be Head of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice and a member of the Firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation and Crisis Management groups.

Amy is an accomplished trial lawyer focusing on high stakes, complex IP litigation matters. She has extensive experience litigating trade secret, patent, copyright and other IP and data protection cases on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Amy has tried numerous jury and bench trials, securing significant victories for clients ranging from start-ups to market leaders. She advises companies across a variety of industries, including the internet, mobile, computer hardware and software, semiconductor, networking, storage, aerospace, gaming and life sciences sectors. Amy’s trial victories have been recognized by Benchmark Litigation, The National Law Journal, The Recorder, Daily Journal and Managing IP, among others. She was recently named among Daily Journal’s “Top Trade Secrets Lawyers,” and has been recognized by Law360, World IP Review and others. She joins from another international law firm.
