Shahpur K. Kabraji

Shahpur K. Kabraji is a Partner in the firm’s Banking and Credit Practice. He focuses on domestic and cross-border syndicated credit, acquisition finance and other leveraged finance transactions. He regularly advises leading sponsors and their portfolio companies in connection with a variety of corporate finance transactions, including acquisition financings, bank and bridge loan financings, unitranche financings and refinancings. His recent representations include advising Cinven in connection with its acquisition financing for UAX,  H.I.G Capital in connection with its acquisition financing for Kantar Media and Five Arrows in connection with multiple acquisition financings.

• Cinven in connection with its financing for its proposed acquisition of UAX
• H.I.G. Capital in connection with its financing for its proposed acquisition by one of its affiliates of Kantar Media from Bain Capital controlled Kantar Group
• Five Arrows in connection with multiple acquisition financings including most recently in its acquisition of TotalMobile and combination with Solvares
• Bruin Capital in connection with its financing for its four acquisitions to create the sports representation agency branded As1 and multiple other financing transactions
• TDR and I Squared in connection with their take private of Applus Services
• Haveli Investments in connection with its majority recapitalisation investment, together with Bregal Milestone, of M-Files Corporation
• CVC Capital Partners in connection with its acquisition of M Group Services
• Flutter Entertainment in connection with its financing for its acquisition of Snaitech and multiple other financing transactions
• MasMovil in connection with its US$18 billion combination with Orange Spain and multiple related financing transactions
• TDR Capital in connection with the financing of its acquisition of Jollyes

Shahpur has been recognised by Chambers UK, Legal 500 UK and IFLR1000, where he is described by clients as a “top guy with great technical knowledge, commercial feeling and work capacity.” Shahpur contributed to the 2016 inaugural edition of “Getting the Deal Through: High-Yield Debt” and subsequent updates. The publication provides advice and insight into the global high-yield market, with chapters covering a range of international jurisdictions. He co-authored the “United Kingdom” section. 

He is a member of the Firm’s Knowledge and Information Committee and co-chair of the Firm’s London Diversity and Inclusion Committee. 

Shahpur received his Postgraduate Diploma in Law Commendation from BPP Law School London in 2005 and his Diploma in Law from City University in London in 2004. He received his B.A., with Honours, from the University of Cambridge-Trinity College in 2003.
