Partner Leah Malone and Counsel Emily Holland, Carolyn Houston and May Mansour authored an article titled, “Florida Passes Farthest-Reaching Anti-ESG Law to Date,” which was published by the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance. The article discusses the passage of House Bill 3 (“HB 3”), which was recently signed into law in Florida and blocks the consideration of ESG factors in investment decisions and prohibits the issuance of ESG bonds in the state. In addition to summarizing the key provisions of HB 3, the piece offers a comparison against some of the anti-ESG laws on the books in other states.
