Adam Furber is the Co-Head of the Firm’s Asia offices and the Head of the Firm’s Asia Investment Funds Practice, the largest funds practice in Asia. Fluent in multiple languages and having lived on four continents, Adam brings a uniquely international perspective to his work. He has been recognized as a “Global Elite Thought Leader” in fund formation by Who’s Who Legal Global Elite in 2019. He is ranked Band 1 for Investment Funds (International Firms) in China by Chambers Global, where he has been ranked for 13 consecutive years, and is also recognized as a leading investment funds lawyer by The Legal 500 and IFLR1000.

Simpson Thacher’s Asia Investment Funds Practice has won numerous awards, including “Investment Funds Firm of the Year” at the Law.com International Asia Legal Awards in 2022, 2019 and 2017, “Law Firm of the Year in Asia (Fund Formation)” by Private Equity International in 2020 and 2018, and “Investment Funds Firm of the Year - Japan” at the Asia Legal Business Japan Awards in 2019.

Adam holds a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and a B.A. from Colby College. Adam has been in Asia for more than 20 years, having previously been based in New York.
