His practice focuses primarily on advising asset managers on some of their most complex transactions, including GP stakes and other mergers & acquisitions, preferred equity financings, joint ventures, secondaries transactions (including GP-led transactions) and founder transitions.
Drew has particular expertise in advising asset managers on their top-side structuring and economic arrangements, including in connection with team lift-outs, joint venture arrangements and the formation of new business lines. He is also recognized as a leading practitioner of customized solutions for insurance companies investing in alternative asset classes.
Drew’s clients include many of the world’s leading asset managers including Blackstone, Carlyle, Coller Capital, Eldridge, Hamilton Lane, Sixth Street and TPG, among others.
